Julia Scott writes enchanting science fiction and fantasy novels that weave together intricate plots, emotionally charged romance, and the infinite possibilities of the universe. Through her stories, she aims to inspire a belief in the transformative power of love and the magical adventures that lie ahead in the unwritten chapters of the future.
Based in Essex, England, Julia crafts her tales of love and magic while raising her two children. When not writing, she runs a supportive community for fellow writers, as well as prettifying pages as a book formatter.
When not immersed in a captivating story, Julia can be found singing her heart out (mostly on key), exploring fantastical lands through the power of gaming, or attempting to coax magical gardens from the soil with more enthusiasm than skill.

Well, hello! I started writing in 2017, so I haven’t been at it all that long. In fact, I’m one of those authors who has never had a lifelong dream to become a writer. It’s true! When I was little, I wanted to be a doctor. Later on, I wanted to be a meteorologist or a volcanologist (I have a BSc degree in Physical and Environmental Geography). But when I had a dream that I thought would make a fantastic book, I decided to write it. I found out about NaNoWriMo, and completed 50,000 words in 20 days in 2018. A few months later, I published The Mirror Souls!
I love to take readers out of the real world, and specifically into the unknown of the future. None of us know what the future holds, and even though the worlds I write aren’t always pretty, you can bet on finding love, hope, friendship, and bravery in my characters.
If you decide to take a chance on my books, I really hope that you enjoy them. I’d love to hear from you if you do! If you didn’t… well, I hope you can find another author that floats your boat.
